Li StarFish was founded in 1997 by Dr. Lino Martone and Mrs. Laura Dal Borgo, in order to distribute in Italy the innovative DNA probes obtained in the laboratory of Prof. Jeffrey Trent at N.I.H. of Bethesda, Maryland. These reagents are used in the Cytogenetic method called FISH (Fluorescent In-Situ Hybridization).
Subsequently, employing qualified technical and commercial staff (with previous work experience in multinational companies) and acquiring representatives of major American and European companies such as Jackson ImmunoResearch Laboratories Inc., Epitope Diagnostics Inc., Wak-Chemie GmbH, Acris / Origene, Intron Bio, Ademtech, Demeditec Diagnostics GmbH, Creative, Agrisera AB, Bio X, etc., the product range has been greatly expanded and is applied in the following disciplines:
